Sitting at the beach watching an amazing sunset. Enjoying a couple of drinks and reveling in the fact that the week is over and I can finally relax.

Sunsets are always calming to me. Also, if I'm at the beach (like this one in Waikiki), I find some entertainment in it as well.

Next time you're on a beach during this time at a pretty tourist- filled area, just watch. Look at everyone around you. They will all stop at the same time.

Everyone and their mom will have a camera.

Aimed at the sunset, they attempt to capture the soothing quality of its glow in a moment frozen in time.

Can't blame them for trying. I mean, who doesn't want to feel relaxed just by staring at a picture?

It's worth a thousand words, but sometimes all you need is a few:

Relax, smile, and enjoy the weekend.

This is what you see.

Think about it.

It's time to go home now. You've had a long day. Politics, scandal, gossip, noise, work, TPS reports, etc.

You're done. You want out. You know there's traffic to contend with out there and you hate it. You still have to figure out what's for dinner and how you're going to make it.

You're stressed and you know that it'll be the same thing tomorrow.

But for now, bathe in this light and smile. Though you've had a hard day and the next one may be harder, just smile.

This kind of beauty will always be with you. You are alive. You are blessed. You are lucky. You are loved.
